Size and Depth:

Diamond Cave is approximately 500 meters long. The height inside the cave varies, with some sections reaching up to 15 meters, while others are as low as 3-4 meters, requiring visitors to crawl through certain areas. The terrain inside the cave continuously changes, making exploration challenging in some parts due to steep and slippery sections. The width of the cave also varies, with some areas being relatively wide, while others are narrow, requiring visitors to crawl through tight spaces. Exploring Diamond Cave is an exciting and challenging adventure for nature lovers.

Interior Features:

Diamond Cave is a beautiful and unique cave. Inside, the cave is adorned with stalactites and stalagmites that shimmer like diamonds when illuminated. When light from a flashlight hits these formations, they sparkle, creating a dazzling effect that gives the cave its name, "Diamond Cave." These formations are the result of mineral deposits that have accumulated over thousands of years, creating the shapes we see today. The beauty of the sparkling stalactites and stalagmites makes Diamond Cave a popular destination for tourists who appreciate the natural beauty of caves. Inside the cave, there are several large chambers connected by passages. Each chamber has its unique and stunning features, with some formations resembling large diamonds or, at times, snowflakes that have fallen. The cave also features an underground water source that flows through the cave, reflecting light and enhancing the cave's beauty. The chambers with high domes have an echoing sound that adds to the cave's mysterious atmosphere. In some parts of the cave, visitors can enjoy a view of the outside world through narrow openings in the cave walls, creating a blend of natural beauty inside and outside the cave.

History and Legends:

Diamond Cave has a story and legend related to its discovery. One legend tells of a group of villagers who were out foraging in the forest when they discovered a cave that sparkled like diamonds, making the cave famous and leading to its name, "Diamond Cave." Additionally, there is a story that inside the cave, there are diamonds hidden within the stalactites and stalagmites, and those who find these diamonds will be blessed with good fortune and prosperity. However, despite no real diamonds being found in the cave, the beauty of the sparkling formations is like hidden gems within the cave.

What to Bring:

Visitors planning to explore Diamond Cave should bring a bright flashlight, as the light will enhance the visibility of the sparkling stalactites and stalagmites. Non-slip shoes are essential for safety while exploring the cave. Comfortable clothing that can protect against scratches from the cave's rocky surfaces is also necessary. Additionally, bringing water and a small first aid kit is recommended for comfort and safety during the exploration of this deep and narrow cave.

Getting There:

The journey to Diamond Cave begins at the Cheow Lan Lake pier, where you'll take a boat ride of about 40 minutes. After disembarking, you need to hike through a forest trail for about 1.5 kilometers. The trail is shaded and not too challenging for most visitors, but appropriate footwear and a flashlight for use inside the cave are recommended.
